The picturesque old town is characterized by narrow, winding streets, houses with notable portals in local stone, frescoes and decorations that embellish the facades.
In via Roma stands the church of San Vitale and not far away is the Torre degli Alberti.
In Piazza Cavour there is the collegiate church of Santissimi Gervasio e Protasio.
Also in the square is the "kuèrc", literally lid, i.e. a loggia with a slate roof where justice was administered in ancient times.
In via Buon Consiglio stands Palazzo De Simoni, built in the 17th century and home to the Town Hall and the Civic Museum.
Crossing the ancient bridge over the Frodolfo river, we reach the Combo district, where the Sassello Church, of fourteenth-century origins, the Church of Sant'Antonio and the Sanctuary of the Crucifix stand out.
Also interesting is the mineralogical and naturalistic museum in the Rovinaccia area.
